I’ve owned a music school in Brooklyn for 12 years. We were already licensing an excellent group piano program for older students, and I knew we needed a group program that would engage 4–5 year olds while preparing them to transition smoothly into this next level around age 6 and beyond.
Drawing on my years of teaching preschoolers music, and inspired by my own daughter, I developed a comprehensive preschool piano curriculum that fills this gap.
How it works!
Prep for Piano as a Group
As part of their welcome and warmup, each child receives the instruction they need for their time at the piano as a group.
Time at the Piano
This program is designed to provide consistent, developmentally appropriate music instruction for preschoolers. It introduces foundational musical concepts through familiar songs, carefully layering one skill at a time to support confident learning. Lessons are presented in short segments for young learners' attention spans.
Additional resources allow teachers to teach as children need it and allow each child to progress at their own pace. Added Bonus: resources in class are also available at home fostering engagement with parents leading to increased retention.
